Maison Clavel, the famous family confectionery in Carpentras, has just set up a patisserie here in the center of the village that is a hit with locals and tourists alike. Well-stocked with seasonal tarts, eclairs, meringues with Carpentras strawberries (one of their specialties), and, at Christmas time, brioches des rois with orange blossom and candied fruit. Serge and Jean Clavel, true artisans of sweet pleasures, also offer a fine range of chocolates and artisanal ice creams in many flavors, including the local cherry.
