The Château de Thézan, a jewel of Provencal heritage, with its main courtyard, park and sumptuous salons, is a must-see
Pierre and Emmanuel, the owners of Château de Thézan, acquired this sleepy beauty in 2019 with plans to renovate it and share it with the public. This has been the case since 2022. We visit the Renaissance Cour d'Honneur, the park with its artistic and botanical trail, and the refurnished reception rooms. The gypseries, frescoes and paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries are remarkable. From the Second Empire onwards, the château was used as a spa. The baths and showers are still in perfect condition, as are some of the bedrooms. A must-see!

Closed from September 30 to April 30. Open Thursday to Monday and on public holidays, 10am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm. Free for children under 10. Adults: €10. Groups (15 people): €8. Children's welcome (treasure hunt for children). Guided tours. Art trail, Botanical garden.
Owner's Message
Built on the foundations of a Roman villa, the imposing building that has come down to us today is the result of the great construction periods of the Comtat Venaissin.
The Renaissance facades, the 17th century wing and the 19th century fittings linked to the water treatment center are the major witnesses.
Like Baumarchais who came here to find inspiration for his "Marriage of Figaro", you can stroll through the alleys of the English-style park. It takes place on the remains of a French garden attributed to André Le Nôtre, the famous gardener of Versailles. The residents of the Hydrotherapy Institute of Saint-Didier-les-Bains were not mistaken.
Today, after more than 30 years of closure, it is your turn to write a new page in the history of the Château de Thézan.
