From the Terrasses Sainte-Cécile, a magnificent view of Oppède le Vieux. Also worth a look are the old hospital and the troglodytic oil mill. On the right, the Grand Rue, lined with the Maison des Chanoines, bears witness to the intense religious life of yesteryear. The cobbled lanes are full of mysteries for you to unravel. The medieval atmosphere of the castle and the collegiate church at the very top for the bravest. The village of Oppède can be reached via the Calavon cycle route, which crosses the entire valley as far as Apt.

J'y vais assez souvent et j'apprécie toujours autant le calme de ce village. Je conseille d'y aller plutôt en fin d'après-midi lorsque la lumière sur le village est magnifique (et en été pour éviter le monde). J'ai particulièrement apprécié les différentes marches proposées qui permettent de voir le village sous plusieurs angles.

Au départ de la place du village prenez la calade pour monter jusqu'à l'Eglise. L'intérieur est assez abimé mais la vue est très jolie

To reach the old village you have to park your car in a car park designed for that purpose. No chance to leave his car in the old village. A very pleasant and pleasant path (about 3 km walk) allows us to reach the old village where a magnificent view over the Luberon and its villages is offered to us. At the top an old church awaits us (at the end of reconstruction) with a magnificent interior and a castle that is also in reconstruction.
