CITY HALL
This town hall built in 1713 did not resist the looting of the Revolution
You're facing the former Saint-Pierre hospital. Built in 1713, it did not withstand the looting of the French Revolution. The Germans occupied it during the First World War. Before the Second World War, it was taken over by nuns who restored its function as a hospital. But they were called back to their convent, and the patients dispersed to the various establishments around. Attempts to reopen the hospital failed, and in 1958, the town council decided to transfer the administrative services to the new building, which became the town hall.
