CHÂTEAU LA DORGONNE

Between Tour-d'Aigues and Mirabeau, the estate is situated at an altitude of some 350 m in the foothills of the Luberon. The 28 ha of vines are cultivated organically, the manual grape harvest grape variety by grape variety preserves the quality of the grapes. DOMAINE LES PERPETUS

The estate is located at the limit of the Tour d'Aigues on the RD 973, to access it take the direction of La Bastidonne-Mirabeau, it is then well signposted. With about 40 hectares of vines and 6 hectares of olive trees, this family estate has been in the family for generations (5 since 1800!). Claire and Romain now assist their parents Christine and Robert Michel-Queirel. Each one contributes to enhance the value of the fruits of this beautiful terroir. The wines are first of all nourished by these arid and calcareous lands, including the Perpetus white cuvée gorged with sunshine.

Romain Dol represents the5th generation on this Le Novi estate, which means " the newlyweds" in Provençal. This 30-hectare vineyard is organically farmed and planted with 15 traditional Mediterranean grape varieties, including a few old, late and Provençal varieties. It produces AOP Luberon wines in all 3 colors, with 40% whites and 2 rosés; elegant, delicate wines of character, full of freshness and minerality. The cuvées include Mr Brun and Landolfi, 2 natural wines with no added sulfur.

While madeleines originated in Commercy in eastern France, where Madeleine Paulmier invented the recipe in the 18th century, in the Luberon region of France Émeline has been making hundreds of handmade madeleines every day since 2021, to the delight of gourmets. Crunchy and soft, not too sweet, plain, with chocolate, preserved lemon or almonds, they are shaped like a scallop shell. Émeline sells them at the La Tour d'Aigues and Pertuis markets, but they can also be ordered via her La Luberonnaise website.
