Founded in 1956, the cellar brings together winegrowers at the head of more than 150 hectares of vines. Gabriel Meffre is a leading regional producer and marketer of fine wines from the Rhône Valley and Provence. Gabriel Meffre is also the owner of Domaine de Longue Toque in Gigondas (and manages Château Grand Escalion in Costières de Nîmes). The Domaine has been certified since 2020, and the wines are available in all 3 colors. Tasting workshops are scheduled throughout the year on a variety of themes. Domaine de la Tourade is a winery offering a wide selection of quality wines. Products include Muscat de Beaumes de Venise CLEM, VDN rosé, Muscat de Beaumes de Venise MATHYS, VDN white, Vacqueyras Euse, Vacqueyras Eva, Vacqueyras Fantine, Vacqueyras, Gigondas Morgan, Gigondas Font des Aieux and GIGONDAS. The estate also offers a drive-through service to facilitate purchases. If no legislation exists, you must be at least 21 years old.

The cultivation of vines and olives in Gigondas dates back to antiquity. In the ^1st century BC, Julius Caesar established a colony of veterans. One of them is said to have been in such a jovial mood that he was nicknamed Jucundus, "the Merry One", giving the village the name Jocundatis, then Gigondas.

On the slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail,Franck Alexandre, winegrower from father to son for 5 generations (1838), will not hesitate to take you on a tour of his vineyard and the 13 grape varieties that make the wines of Gigondas so special. The dominant grape is Grenache which makes it so powerful, so shimmering and so full-bodied. With its aromatic finesse and its notes of red fruits, it is a wine that ages well, to keep for 10 years in your cellar without moving.

This family-run domaine, which has been in existence for five generations, offers exceptional bottles for moments of sharing and conviviality. The owner, Yves Cheron, is originally from Burgundy and studied viticulture and oenology in Beaune. He chose to settle in Gigondas, where he manages all his properties. The 70-hectare estate is dominated by the Dentelles de Montmirail, granite cliffs almost 100 meters high. The main grape varieties are Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, which are used to produce the red wines of Gigondas, Vacqueyras and Beaumes de Venise. The estate also produces a natural sweet wine, Muscat de Beaumes de Venise, from the fine Muscat grape.

Domaine du Roucas de Saint Pierre is a winery located in Gigondas. It offers visitors the chance to discover its vineyards and cellars, and to taste its wines. Domaine Saint Damien is a winery located at the hamlet, 50 Chemin de Saint Damien in Gigondas. Since 2012, all their wines are organically grown. Domaine du Pesquier is a winery offering a wide selection of wines. The grapes are harvested by hand and sorted to guarantee the best possible quality. Vinification is carried out in the traditional way, respecting the style of wine and the appellation concerned. The wines are then tasted, blended and aged in concrete vats or foudre, according to their character and typicity. The estate makes a point of controlling fermentation temperatures, resulting in structured, complex wines. Domaine du Pesquier also offers tours and tastings for wine lovers.

Christian Meffre is the owner of a beautiful vineyard spread over 43 hectares, 75% on the plateau and 25% on the hillsides. Grenache dominates (60%) followed by Syrah (30%) and Mourvèdre (10%). Traditional vinification, total destemming, his wines are often cited and awarded medals. You will find old and new vintages at the cellar. Christian Meffre also owns Château Saint-Jean in Travaillan which produces Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages Plan de Dieu. Competition 2018 gold medal for the gigondas.

At Clos du Joncuas, the vines are on terraces, sheltered from the wind. The technique is ancestral. The winegrower calls himself "the cultivator of the sun". The vineyard is gradually being converted to organic farming. The vinification is done in cement vats. The reds are aged in oak barrels. The estate offers gigondas in red, rosé and a cuvée with grenache spirit, vaqueyras in red and séguret in red and white. If tastings are possible at the cellar, you will also find these wines on the menus of the restaurants in the region.

15 generations of winegrowers: the adventure of this family began in 1490 and the family has kept the tasting notes of the vintages from 1714 to 1717. But the history of the estate is even more exceptional since it began with the Romans: we can still see 25 fermentation vats carved out of the rock. Here we work with small cuvées to adapt to the turpitudes of the terroir. The Hominis Fides is one of the oldest vines of the estate spread over 25 ha of vines whose wines belong to different AOCs.

It is the know-how of several generations who have been able to exploit the diversity of the estate's terroirs and combine tradition with new techniques. Today, Véronique and Bernard perpetuate this wine-growing heritage. The vineyard extends over approximately 16 hectares, divided into Gigondas A.O.C. Ventoux A.O.C. and table wine. A cuvée Rosé Émotion d'un Soir is the pride of the estate. This rosé is rich with a fruity nose, with notes of strawberry, small red fruits, banana and some citrus fruit aromas. All you have to do is taste it.

The Brunier brothers (Vieux Télégraphe, Domaine La Roquète) intend through each wine to restore the character of its land of origin. This 135-hectare estate is one of the major properties of Gigondas, thanks in particular to its beautiful terraced location. The vineyard is mainly planted with Grenache (80%), which produces a beautiful, racy, ruby/purple-coloured, highly aromatic wine. Rich, powerful, well-balanced and long on the palate, it can be enjoyed at room temperature (around 17°).
