Water mill producing high quality paper using traditional century techniques
Vallis Clausa is the reconstruction of a water mill that produces high quality paper using traditional 15th century techniques. During the visit of the workshop, you will follow all the stages of production from the shredding of the fabrics to the drying process. The most impressive piece of equipment is the large paddle wheel with its 48 blades and a diameter of 7m. The paper is intended for the publication of art, prints and old engravings.

Super visite du moulin encore en activité vous pourrez voir un papetier en action. Puis il y a la boutique ensuite super mimi. L’entrée est gratuite et chien accepté.

Il mulino, con la forza dell' acqua, alimenta questa cartiera, liberamente visitabile. All' interno infatti sono esposti i macchinari ancora oggi usati per la produzione della carta. Tuttavia, se non fate una visita guidata, è un po' difficile capire il ruolo di questi macchinari. All' interno si possono fare acquisti di souvenir, mappe e quant'altro. Usciti dalla cartiera ci si inoltra in una specie di galleria commerciale sottoterra, inaspettata, visto che sopra di essa passa il sentiero che porta alla sorgente.
