Discovery of three successive enclosures surrounding the village of Cucuron.

No less than three enclosures successively surrounded the village. Today, the Porte de l'Horloge with the Saint-Michel keep remains. The second enclosure encircled the eastern part of the village and was crossed by the Portes de l'Etang (or de Cabrières) and de Giroux, the Citadel tower and the tower known as the "square tower". You will be able to discover their history during the 4 guided night walks organized in July and August. All information is available at the tourist office (04 90 77 28 37). Don't forget to register.

Ce village fait partie des plus beaux villages de France, il est médiéval et son nom signifie point culminant. La tour SUS POUS faisait partie de la citadelle au XVI eme siècle, le donjon ST MICHEL classé monument historique en 1921 mais celui ci est malheureusement bien abîmé. Il y a de très jolies maisons ainsi qu'il horloge surmontée d'une cloche
