CLOS DU CAILLOU
The history of this estate is quite picturesque. In the 19th century, it was a hunting reserve. It was then that an engineer, a friend of Ferdinand de Lesseps who designed the Suez Canal, constructed this enormous building which will supply the town of Courthézon with water. He didn't stop there, however, and built an underground cellar. And the Clos du Caillou was born. Today, the 50-hectare estate is 100% organic. It produces Côtes du Rhône and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Wines from Domaine du Panisse, acquired in 2020, are also sold at the cellar.
