Belfry was used as a communal house and a watchtower
Built in 1562, it was used both as a communal house (in the left wing, until 1926) and as a watchtower, particularly during the sinister Wars of Religion. Residents complained that they couldn't hear the bell, so this round tower was raised in 1783 and an elegant campanile, forged by the Caromb locksmith, was added. The lower part was used as a prison, while the right wing housed the communal oil mills. Also worth seeing are the 14th-century Romanesque church of St Maurice, the museum of old winegrowers' tools and the fountains.
