Nicolas organizes basket-weaving workshops and guided tours of his crops

Nicolas and Loïz Appel practise a rare profession, that of basket maker and wicker grower. In France, there are only about a hundred of them! The Appel family cultivates some forty varieties. To give diversity to their wickerwork (baskets, cradles, lamps, home decor, art basketry...), they work with shades of wicker, from red to black, green to yellow-brown. Loïz organizes introductory basketry courses all year round.

Deux paniers réalisés aux côtés de Loïz avec toute sa patience et sa gentillesse. Un endroit charmant où on ne voit pas le temps passer.

J'ai passé un excellent week-end avec Loïz ,qui est très bon pédagogue .Il aussi beaucoup de patience. J'ai pu découvrir la technique "Asturies".J'ai pu repartir de cet atelier avec mon panier.

Stage intense et très instructif : apprentissage de plusieurs points de vannerie. Lois est très patient et pédagogue. Excellente ambiance. J'attends avec impatience les nouveaux stages qu'il proposera pour 2025.

Réalisation dans une ambiance détendue d' un joli panier provençal avec plusieurs techniques en 2 jours :fond torche crocane passe doigt bordure et pieds. Un nombre ajusté de participants pour recevoir les conseils répétés a chaque étape , et un suivi de Loiz, nécessaire. Beaucoup de matériel mis a disposition par Loiz pour faciliter la realisation, des pauses bienvenues et de la patience aussi!
