Nicolas organizes basket-weaving workshops and guided tours of his crops
Nicolas and Loïz Appel practise a rare profession, that of basket maker and wicker grower. In France, there are only about a hundred of them! The Appel family cultivates some forty varieties. To give diversity to their wickerwork (baskets, cradles, lamps, home decor, art basketry...), they work with shades of wicker, from red to black, green to yellow-brown. Loïz organizes introductory basketry courses all year round.

Aussitôt disponible Loïz a répondu à mon appel téléphonique et a pu me recevoir à l'atelier le jour même. J'ai pu acheter un panier magnifique sur place. Attention pas de carte bleue...

De belles réalisations très bon accueil

J'ai fait un stage de glannage et vannerie sauvage pendant une journée de 9h à 17h. Les autres apprentis et le prof étaient très sympathiques. Le cadre de bord de Durance était charmant et reposant. Nous sommes chacun repartis avec un panier bien confectionné quelque soit le niveau en bricolage.Ce stage était également à bon prix.

Je n'ai jamais fait de vannerie et à la fin de la journée je suis repartie avec mon panier grâce aux indications données par Loïz et grâce à sa grande patience. J'étais ravie du résultat.
