At the gateway to Provence, where the Rhône meets the Durance, the Palais des Papes proudly stands like a fortress. With over 650,000 visitors a year, it is one of the ten most visited monuments in France. A true symbol of the Church's influence on the Christian West in the 14th century, this monumental 15,000m2 masterpiece is the largest medieval fortress and the largest Gothic palace in Europe. The palace was listed as a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1995. Well worth a visit.

Opening time and information on POPE'S PALACE
Open all year round. 01/01 to 03/02: 10am - 5pm; 04/02 to 28/02: 10am - 6pm; 01/03 to 05/11: 9am - 7pm; 06/11 to 22/12: 10am - 5pm; 23/12 to 31/12: 10am - 6pm. Free for children under 7. Adults: €12. Children aged 8 to 17 €6.50. Reduced rate : 10 €. Combined visit with the Pont d'Avignon: €14.50, concessions : 11,50 €. Free audioguide. Children welcome (compulsory stroller locker). Guided tour. Gift store. No pets allowed.

Momentan kein Tablet, kein Audioguide jedoch auch keine Information darüber während dem Ticketkauf.
Ticket ist immernoch gleich teuer.
Ich würde einen Besuch nicht empfehlen. Keine klar beschilderte Tour. Alle irren irgendwie herum.
