Hospitalization At Home of Avignon and its Region (HADAR), private non-profit association Act 1901, whose offices are located in the heart of the Santé health cluster, manages the Service COME. Remarkable intermediate structure between hospital and city care, one can only salute dedication. This service, funded by Sickness Insurance, aims to keep the patient at home under the responsibility of his treating physician. Available 24 hours a day, nurses and qualified caregivers come as a boost to the family; they provide paramedical services in many areas: home care and rehabilitation care, continuous care and ad hoc care (chemotherapy and palliative care). In 2004, MET of Avignon was the first COME service DELIVERED from France to be accredited without reservation by the High Authority of Health; certified accreditation in 2009.
