The mill is in fact a geological landmark. It's a fascinating stop-off for lovers of nature's evolution. The building has been restored and houses a richly illustrated geological exhibition entitled d'Apt à l'Aptien. One of the highlights of this atypical place is the metal fresco on which are cut out the major episodes in the history of the Earth. And all around, the Parc du Luberon has planted a conservatory almond orchard with 40 different species.

Le moulin de Salignan a été transformé en pigeonnier au fil du temps. Il a perdu ses ailes.
Sur les hauteurs du moulin, le Parc Naturel Régional du Luberon a constitué un verger conservatoire avec 40 espèces d’amandiers.
Il suffit de tourner sur soi-même pour admirer une vue imprenable sur les monts de Vaucluse, le Mourre Nègre ou le mont Ventoux. Une table d’orientation permet de se repérer dans ce panorama ébouriffant.
A l'intérieur, il accueille une exposition permanente consacrée aux strates géologiques, intitulée « D’Apt à l’Aptien : le découpage du temps ». Visites à certaines dates, sur réservation auprès du parc.
Magnifique mi-mars quand les amandiers sont en fleurs.
