Toulon's largest and most beautiful town square, with a magnificent fountain at its center, hosts a variety of events.
Created in 1858 on the initiative of the Ministry of War, this square is the largest (117 m long and 120 m wide) and most beautiful in Toulon. At the center is the magnificent Fountain of the Federation, built in 1890, with its oval basin and a series of allegorical statues, including France, helmeted, sword at her side, holding the tables of the Rights of Man and Citizen and raising the flame of liberty, surrounded by Justice and Strength. The square is also the venue for Christmas festivities and summer concerts.

Autour des cafés où il est agréable de boire un café à la terrasse.
Beaucoup de circulation sur le boulevard de Strasbourg qui longe un côté de la place.
J'y suis aussi passé en hiver et il y a un sympathique marché de Noël
