Created at the end of the First Empire, this museum is the arsenal's memory. It traces its history in an educational way, through a collection of ships, models and figureheads. There are also areas devoted to Vauban, the history of Toulon's penal colony, and the navy from the Second World War to the present day. In addition to guided tours, the museum offers a wide range of activities for children and families.
