Notre-Dame-de-la-Seds is a 900 year old cathedral that mixes different styles.
Since the5th century, several churches have been successively erected on its site. It became a Romanesque cathedral in the 11th century, and today presents an interesting mixture of styles, from classical to baroque. The new church was built at right angles to the previous one, and is probably unique. It is surmounted by a splendid Provençal wrought iron bell tower. The interior retains a Gothic unity. The cathedral is classified as a historical monument.

Joli monument, mais un peu trop incrusté dans son endroit. Belle façade extérieure ainsi que la tour clocher. L'intérieur est grand et bien décoré par des tableaux. L'orgue impressionnant et les vitraux superbes, mais peu nombreux.

Un lieu paisible et inspirant, idéal pour se recueillir ou simplement apprécier le calme et la beauté du lieu. L’architecture est splendide, les vitraux sont superbes, et l’ambiance invite à la méditation. Une véritable parenthèse de sérénité en plein cœur de la ville.

Visiting Toulon walking - exploring the town. This Cathedral is well worth a visit. Interesting statues paintings and picturesque windows.
