In this small cross street on the Rue de la République, and just steps from the harbour, the Mesclun Café has opened in the same spirit and for the same purpose, in another part of the neighbourhood where sociology is significantly different, where urban renovation must rehabilitate many buildings and shops. Various activities are in place to develop contact with the inhabitants and open the area on the outside, while closed shops, real estate, are Toulonnais to venture there. Workshop of writing, theatre, games of society, but also discovery of foreign countries in favour of exhibitions, typical meals, photos and music under the responsibility of associations or people coming from there, feasts of the Neighbours, Music… A small garden facing the café is created and maintained by the children of the neighbourhood (one class of Saint-School St. Louis) and by all those who are interested.
