Since 1994, Au Caprice des deux has been the story of a brother and sister with a passion for cooking and sharing. Chef Stéphane Avelin, who works exclusively with fresh produce, knows how to bring out the best in regional and traditional cuisine. In a renovated setting (the restaurant has undergone a facelift), you'll savor his (organic) cocotte egg with truffles, his chicken supreme with crayfish, his Caprice-style roast fillet of Charolais beef with truffle risotto. Last but not least, a raspberry croquant, a must-try!

Malheureusement très moyen comme la plupart des restaurants à Saint-Tropez. Cela démarrait pourtant bien avec un très bon canneloni au crabe et sauce écrevisses. L’oeuf à la truffe fût plutôt décevant sur le plan visuel mais assez agréable sur le plan gustatif. Les beignets de fleurs de courgettes trop huilés et pas égouttés. Quant aux plats, les filets de boeufs faisaient seulement 1.5cm de hauteur avec une sauce et garniture insignifiante. Grosse déception pour le tartare de saumon, quasi immangeable, découpe et assaisonnement à revoir . A noter que la carte des vins ne mentionne pas les millésimes (!) mais qu’un Sociando Mallet à 225EUR laisse imaginer la marge abusive qu’ils se font sur les vins. Bref, adresse qui ne vaut malheureusement pas trop le détour, on aurait pourtant aimé le contraire, le service étant plutôt sympathique.
