Pelvoux and Vallouise, two great names in the mountains for small villages with an exceptional environment. Pelvoux is a hamlet whose territory is almost entirely within the Écrins National Park. Pelvoux is home to prestigious Alpine peaks, the most famous of which is the Barre des Écrins at 4,102 m altitude, the highest point of the Écrins massif. Vallouise, at the gates of the Park, is a typical village with traditional houses and sundials. It is a paradise for outdoor activities, sporting or not: alpine and nordic skiing, paragliding, mountain biking, mountaineering, climbing, via ferrata, white water sports, but also fishing.
