Copious cuisine in a pleasant restaurant with terrace and fountain in Saint-Rémi-de-Provence.

Let's say it right now, we're not in the water at all. On the other hand, it is bathed in a timeless atmosphere, really very special. It's best for heavy eaters, because the plates are extremely copious. This does not prevent, of course, the quality of the dishes offered. The large terrace and its fountain (hence the name of the place) are very pleasant. As for the service, the staff is very present and attentive to the customers' needs.

Simple dishes in portions intended for sharing, served quickly without fuss. There's no apparent unifying concept behind the menu, but our combination of grilled octopus and hearty lasagne worked well enough. The one disappointment of the meal was my glass of house red - possibly the worst glass of wine I've ever been served in France.

2-person portions really are generous, dishes were simple classics, all ingredients were 1st class, lovely vibe and decor. Coffee not great and a bit understaffed, but that's everywhere these days. Great boutique space inside too, hard not to shop on the way to the loo!
