CALANQUE DE CALLELONGUE
Callelongue creek in Marseille, with a nice little harbor and cabanons, suggesting guided walks on several formulas.
The road ends here in the south of the city. The universe known by Marseille inhabitants ends here. Callelongue is the starting point of the GR51 hiking trail which leads to the discovery of the calanques of Marseilleveyre, Morgiou or Sormiou, til Cassis. Its name comes from calo longo which means small narrow and long coves in Provencal. There is no beach here, but a nice small harbor, a few sheds and a restaurant. You can find a parking lot here, but in summer, the road is reserved for residents, you will have to park your car in Les Goudes.
Paddling and kayaking. Paddle or kayak guided tours are possible from Les Goudes to Marseilleveyre via Mounine and Callelongue. Enjoy the stunning view of the Riou archipelago.
Via cordata. A vertical tour is suggested between Les Goudes and Callelongue, via Baie des Singes. A 100 meter zip-line.
Elastic jump. Thrill seekers can enjoy the "elastic jump", a perpendicular jump from the Hermit cave after a 45-minute hiking trail with climbing route.
Cycling. The road ends in Callelongue, therefore you can still go there by electric or simple bicycle seamlessly.
Diving. In the waters of this calanque, diving from the edge where the cave of Callelongue can be found, that a tour is allowed during the day and at night, popular to take photos of underwater life. You can also see a boat anchor remained there.
