Read moreThe Huveaune is one of the rivers that feed Marseille. His role was of primary importance and he was even divinized in the time of the Gauls. The river originates in the Sainte-Baume massif and, according to legend, it is the tears of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine that would feed the river (she lived for more than 30 years in a cave on a massif). The section of interest to us here is located in the heart of the city and easily accessible from Michelet Boulevard. From there, you can head east towards Saint-Loup, on pleasantly equipped bike paths and walk along the river. To the south, you will reach the Prado beaches along a green and quiet path.
