Make way for the navette, this pretty little crunchy cookie in the shape of a boat and with the delicate flavors of orange blossom. Traditionally eaten at Candlemas, these cookies are made all year round in this bakery below the Panier. Let yourself be bewitched by the smell when you enter the store. Everything is exposed there under your eyes, shuttles, croquants, canistrellis, macaroons... Freshness and authenticity. The master of the place, José Orsoni, is a figure of the district.

These shuttles are simply delicious, and have nothing to do with those on the other side of the Old Port which are more tourists, but to my direction, less tasty. In this small shop which does not look mine, you will find the famous shuttles flavoured with orange blossom, but also many other biscuits and Canistrelli Corsican (my favourite are orange and?), macaroons or crunchy biscuits almonds. The products are fresh morning and rather pleasant welcome. Only one problem park nearby. Best is still to leave your car at home and come at feet by the Old Port, via the Ferry is free and offers a unique view over our dear Vieux Port de Marseille.
