An establishment offering Japanese street food in Marseille.
Ko-Ishi (which means pebble, for the curious) is a small establishment with a few seats, some at the counter, where you can eat Japanese street food. Mainly okonomiyaki, pancakes from Osaka filled with chicken, pork, vegetarian and octopus. Kaarage fried chicken is another specialty, as is Gyu Don, a bowl of rice with marinated beef. We love the intimate, exotic ambience of the place, as well as the friendly welcome. Christophe, the maître de céans wearing a red kimono during our visit, was trained by a Japanese chef.
