DUNGEON CASTLE
The Provençal bastide-style castle is a former 17th century hunting lodge. It is reflected in the water of its immense basin. Only the gardens can be visited as the property is private. You will notice the chapel erected on the west side of the castle. The gardens are designed in French style and the main courtyard is decorated with a fountain. One of the dovecotes hides a cool room decorated in a lush baroque style. For the anecdote, the Queen Mother of England visited the castle in the 1950s at the invitation of the Marquis de Saporta.
