A 33-hectare park of Mediterranean vegetation on a plateau overlooking the Salon region, with 9 km of trails and 700 species of fauna

In the heart of a Natura 2000 site, the La Barben animal park extends over a 30-hectare plateau. Along the 9 km of trails, you'll discover 650 animals of 130 species: lions, giraffes, rhinoceroses, tigers, maned wolves, hippos, gazelles and gibbons. You can punctuate your walk with a picnic, a break at the restaurant or snack bar, or a visit to the 12th-century sheepfold housing the vivarium. There's also a mini-train, a store and plenty of entertainment (feeding, birds in flight, etc.).

Zoo assez grand et très bien entretenu. Certains animaux sont plus facilement observable que d'autres avec des enclos plus récents.
Il y a de nombreux emplacements pour pique-niquer.

I had not gone there since I was a child and returned to my son and husband. I find the zoo bigger, many different animals. Spaces designed for picnic, all accessible in stroller. The only disappointment can be on some animals that are hardly seen because they sleep or are hidden, but it is well explained that the animals have spaces sheltered from sight, and they are entitled to a little tranquility, so the enclosures are very big, so we really have the impression that the welfare of animals is well respected. Great visit.

le zoo de la barben est un zoo très agréable pour toute la famille une grande diversité d'animaux une aire de jeux pour les enfants un petit train pour faire le tour du domaine très agréable à faire et à refaire.
