Oppidum of Saint-Blaise, one of the most complete sites of pre-Roman, Roman and early Christian archaeology in Provence.

Located in the commune of Saint-Mitre-les-Remparts, halfway between Istres and Martigues, the archaeological site of Saint-Blaise is little known but is one of the most interesting and complete sites of pre-Roman, Roman and early Christian archaeology in Provence. In terms of remains, it is a major site with Hellenistic fortifications of great beauty, a rare Gallic rock necropolis, dwellings in the upper and lower town and finally the church of Saint-Pierre d'Ugium, a remarkable early Christian building in Provence.
