FRUIDORAIX

Confectionery
4/5
1 review

For 4 generations this company, created in 1880 by Epiphanie, the great-great-grandmother of Sylvie Parent (who currently manages the company) has been at the service of gourmandise. The calisson is the flagship product of the company. Classic, it is available in several flavors and is coated with chocolate at Christmas and Easter. The nougats, another speciality, have pretty names: Mister Nougat Caramel, Madam Victorine, Miss Vanilla, Mister Hard... Fruidoraix, Also the traditional orange blossom shuttles, and shuttles with olives, Espelette pepper or caramel chips. The ancestral recipes are respected but we will not know more, the factory is not visited.

LA MAMETTE

Sale of wines and spirits

La Mamette is how Victor called his grandmother, whose specialty of orange wine he wanted to transmit. La Mamette is therefore an aperitif, based on natural wine, good organic citrus fruits (lemon, orange, pomelo but also yuzu, bouddah bread, lemon nectar...), some spices (cinnamon, clove) and a little alcohol.
The production, launched recently in 2022, is made organically, from rosé or white wines from organic wine growers in Provence, to which are added whole citrus fruits produced locally, and spices, of course. An original base for renewed cocktails, a Provencal spritz or a mazeste, to be consumed iced with moderation of course!

LE CELLIER D'ÉGUILLES

Wine and alcohol cooperative

In this sunny town, which is dominated by the castle of Des d'Eguilles, located 10 kilometres north-west of Aix, wine-growing represents half of the agricultural activity. The cooperative wine cellar in Eguilles was created in 1923 by Lucien Fauchier, a farmer and a man of letters. Today, it brings together the wine growers of a vineyard that totals 230 hectares and produces the COTEAUX of Aix-en-Provence and wines from the Bouches-du-Rhône region. The vineyard covers the municipalities of Eguilles, Aix-en-Provence, Ventabren, St-Cannat, Rognes and Lambesc. In the wine cellar of Eguilles you will find AOC representative wines and good wines from countries with a nice price. Citons, and also a wide range of Provençal products, olive oils, spreads, terrine, jams, honey, calissons, shuttles… In bottle or cubi. Let us not miss the harvest festival (participation in harvest and festive meals) in late September-early October, La Fête de la Vigne et du Vin in May and the Balades Maturity throughout the Year.
