A natural site bordered by the Petit-Rhône, where you can admire preserved flora and fauna just a few minutes from the center of Arles.

With a surface area of more than 6,500 hectares and a length of 12 km, the Vaccarès pond is the largest pond in the Camargue. Nicknamed the Grand Mar, it is surrounded by the Petit-Rhône, the Grand-Rhône and the sea. A paradise for lovers of discovery, you can admire a preserved fauna and flora. It is notably an important resting and feeding place for migratory birds. The pink flamingos are also very numerous. Please note that swimming and fishing are forbidden in the part of the pond classified as a reserve.
