A former Carmelite convent, the Jules César is an institution in Arles. The typically Provencal decoration has been entirely redesigned by Christian Lacroix. He created an atmosphere for each level. On the cloister level, bright monochrome colors dominate. The next floor has a more Provencal feel and the last one is more monastic and Camargue-like with a trompe l'oeil floor. This 5-star hotel now also has a Cinq Mondes certified spa and a fitness room. The Julius Caesar is also Lou Marquès, its gourmet restaurant of choice.
