This small village, part of the Montmorillonnais, is worth a visit if only for its ancient remains: the site of Mazamas, classified as a historical monument, is a Gallo-Roman temple. It was discovered in 1945 by an abbot. This sanctuary dates from the 1st century. Otherwise, the setting, thanks to its rich nature, is suitable for walks and hikes. Three ZNIEFF (Zones Naturelles d'Intérêt Ecologique, Faunistique et Floristique) make up 40% of the territory, including the military camp and the Landes de Montmorillon, the valley of the Salleron as well as other sites classified by the Fauna-Flora Habitat Directive.
