For who loves history and the Middle Ages in particular, here is a neighborhood not lacking under any pretext. A real leap backwards, the architecture of this Faubourg helps us to imagine what Parthenay was able to do a few centuries ago. The St. James St. James Street was most Active when Parthenay was an important economic centre in the th century. With its wooden houses on the ground floor of which there were shops, this neighbourhood was that of the drapers and weavers.
