Sèvre Autruche is home to some fifty ostriches and their young, as well as their cousins the rheas and emus

With its proud, rhythmic gait, the ostrich and all its emu and rhea cousins reign supreme on this beautiful farm. Alexis will welcome you and tell you all about this big bird, whose eggs are the biggest in the world, and can be enjoyed with millet! The farm has recently relocated and now offers an activity that's unique in the region: a labyrinth that will delight young and old alike. Local produce and snacks are available on site. In any case, don't hesitate for a second and come and discover a surprising world.

I visited yesterday with a young student who is staying with me. The first enclosure as you go in I saw a big bird lying in the corner of the field and another bird distressed walking up and down stressed. I watched for a minute and said to my student that the bird was dead. I went back to the reception and got the young lady there to come to look with me. She said the bird was sleeping.....il I said to her its dead not sleeping. Next minute she is on the phone and rushing around. We continued with our visit but the smell of death was awful as we went passed. It ruined the visit and i wont be going back again. When we finished our visit i said to the lady in the reception, so the bird was dead and she o yes but it had only just died which obviously was not true as it stank so must have been dead for a few days. Im very shocked that no one noticed the poor bird and the other one that was stressed, also 12 eggs on a nest that where just left. They need to take better care of all the birds.
Not happy at all.
