6,000 years ago, our ancestors moved huge stones to build tumuli, megalithic funerary monuments. Here, six tumuli were discovered in the 19th century: the largest was explored in 1840. The museum aims to preserve these prehistoric tombs and to highlight the various Neolithic cultures that led humans to build these megalithic monuments, and regularly offers large temporary exhibitions. The park also includes a discovery trail, a botanical garden, reconstructions of dwellings...

Opening time and information on BURIAL MOUND MUSEUM
Open from April 1st to the end of the All Saints' vacation. Low season: open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5:30pm; weekends from 1pm to 5:30pm. High season: Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6:30pm. Closed on Mondays (including Easter and Whitsun Mondays). Free of charge until 6 years old. Adults: 6 €. Children (from 6 to 18 years old) : 2 €. Reduced rate: 2 €. Guided tour supplement: +2 €. Workshop supplement: + 4 €. Restaurant (from June to September). Store. Route for children.

Prehistory in three spaces: a museum, a discovery trail and a remarkable archaeological site: the tumuli of Bougon.
contemporary architecture nestled in the heart of a natural setting, the museum is particularly interested in the Neolithic, a fundamental period in the history of humanity during which our ancestors built the 6 tumuli of the Bougon necropolis.
Built more than 5,000 years ago, these six megalithic monuments contain eight burial chambers.
