This pretty town has a special bond with the Charente river, against which it nestles. The river - one of the most beautiful kingdoms according to François1er - has enabled the expansion of this village of stone and water. Today, it's a place for strolling, attracting many a stroller who enjoy a peaceful stroll along the quays and old streets. The Port Miniature is ideal for children, while cyclists can enjoy the Flow Vélo. Many of the villages along the river are well worth a visit, including Agonnay.

Quand on arrive par le fleuve on voit les maisons du quai les pieds dans l'eau ,le pont qui traverse la Charente et l'égise sur son promontoire , cette vue est magnifique. Il faut se promener dans les rues calme de ce charmant village de pierres et d'eau
