FOUNTAIN OF THE PILLORY AND OLD STREETS

This fountain is installed in the heart of the city on the square of the same name. In the Middle Ages, the place had a bad reputation! It must be said that it did not welcome tourists but rather condemned men, exposed and tied to the pillory. This building, classified as a historical monument, was once part of the castle of Brizambourg. It took all the mobilization of the inhabitants to save it in 1819. Dismantled, stone by stone, it was built on its current location.
