Visit Le Rameau de Nieul-sur-Mer, a monastery founded in 1922 in La Rochelle.
The monastery was founded in 1922 in La Rochelle. Poor Clare sisters moved in in 1993, then a new community took over in September 2017: the Clarisses du Rameau, part of a movement created in 1979 following the inspiration of Marie-Paul de la Trinité, the Rameau de Sion. In Nieul, they welcome single people, couples, nuns, priests and anyone looking for a time of rejuvenation in solitude and silence, by reservation.
