THE HALLS
Halles located near the city's main gate
This village, one of the most beautiful in France, attracts many travellers wishing to stroll along the port, discover the Romanesque church, or simply enjoy a peaceful moment. The halles, which appear to have been built in the Middle Ages, are also well worth a visit. This octagonal structure is quite surprising. Owned by the lord of the manor, they were once a fairground where local residents went to sell their produce. The halles were sometimes transformed into a street theater for visiting actors.
