Large house with terrace near the shops of Ustaritz offering beautiful bike rides to Bayonne.

A beautiful and vast residence (approximately 400 m²) dating from the 19th century, close to the post office and shops of Ustaritz and sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the coast, is proposed here. The owners of Albigensian and Norman origin have been seduced by this residence and are keen to welcome our pilgrims from Santiago de Compostela and other hiking and cycling enthusiasts. It is true that there are many activities in and around the village, particularly the proximity of the Nive and the towpath, which offers beautiful bike rides to Bayonne and more for sports enthusiasts. This imposing residence offers 4 large bedrooms with large private bathrooms, a beautiful terrace reserved for hearty and homemade breakfasts (fruit juices, cakes, pastries, jams...), "open spaces" (library, fireplace, etc.). Ideally located between land, mountains, ocean and Spain, for lovers of hiking, surfing, golf and heritage.

Paramos una noche de paso por Ustaritz haciendo el Camino del Baztán. El check in es a partir de las 17h, muy tarde para mi opinión. La dueña nos tubo dando vueltas por el pueblo (con apenas servicios) y después en la puerta del hostal, estando ella en el negocio de antigüedades de enfrente…nos pareció feo, pues veniamos muy cansados. La habitación bien, limpia, pero el baño privado no estaba dentro, sino saliendo al pasillo general…con lo que la intimidad se pierde bastante (deberían especificarlo en la reserva). Hacía mucha calor y no había aire, pero si un “pinguino” de esos verticales, lo que hacía mucho ruido. Del desayuno no puedo opinar porqué nos fuimos muy temprano y no pudimos disfrutarlo.

If only the wifi was as good as the rest of the experience, it were a highest score rating. The host is very nice, the room was beautiful en breakfast was yummy.
