Created in 1865, this crypt protects the Bayaà saltwater spring, which was previously accessible via an open-air basin. In the 19th century, doctors promoted its virtues, encouraging seaside tourism. However, the basin was often dirty, which led to the construction of the vault. The tour includes a 15-minute film on the history of the basin, Salisian traditions and the importance of water and salt in the town. You'll then discover this little-known site beneath Salies' main square.
