Inaugurated on September 22, 2007, the new hiking plan completes the selection panel already existing in order to promote the territory of Béarn des Gaves, on several municipalities, a large mission entrusted to the National forestry office. In the end, this project consists of eight loops around Orthez, installed on the old RRD and seven new loops complementing these proposals: Sainte-Suzanne, 9,60 km, medieval Orthez, 5,30 km, Mounicq, 3,70 km, Sallespisse, 7,40 km, Saint-Girons, 9,20 km, Salles-Mongiscard hills, 5,50 km, Sault-de-Navailles, 9,90 km. Finally four mountain biking circuits have been mapped, in all about twenty courses that lead to the discovery of the given, the Saint-Jacques theme, local heritage, panoramas on the Pyrenees with orientation tables, a lookout and work on historical and cultural heritage through "Heritage" desks and milestones with labelling, in French, Latin and Occitan. the name of the wood trees of Moncade (information at the tourist office).
