BRIGHTON LIGHTHOUSE
This 32-metre-high lighthouse takes its name from the city of Brighton.
This lighthouse, almost 32 meters high, takes its name from the town of Brighton, which is located just opposite the commune of Cayeux-sur-Mer, on the English coast. It is the highest lighthouse on the Picardy coast. It was commissioned in 1951, replacing the 1835 lighthouse destroyed by German forces in August 1944. The tower, painted white and red at the top, is made of reinforced concrete covered with brick. Since 1999, its operation has been automated, and its facade was consolidated in 2017.
