CISE WOOD
The Bois de Cise, nestled in the hollow of the cliffs, south of Ault, is the only natural wood on the Channel coast.
It's the only natural wood on the Channel coast, and was used for hunting in the Middle Ages. Nestled in the cliffs to the south of Ault, this verdant site ends with an elegant resort designed in the Belle Époque style. Like Victor Hugo, you'll appreciate the magnificent view. There's a walking trail to enjoy the site, and the tourist office offers guided walks so you don't miss a thing of the woods. Take the stairs down to get as close as possible to the cliffs, but beware of falling rocks and don't venture beyond them!
