Acting in solidarity, blood donation is essential to treat certain diseases. As blood has a limited lifespan, the need is constant. One million patients are treated thanks to these donations every year. Almost half of the transfusion recipients are suffering from a blood disease or cancer. And ideally 10,000 donations of blood would be needed to meet all the needs. All you need to donate is to be between 18 and 70 years old, weigh no less than 50 kg, not be pregnant, answer a few health questions and have a few hours to give.
