The six paintings that now adorn the upper level of the decor in the bedroom of King Louis XIV at the Château de Versailles are on loan to the Musée de Picardie as part of the exhibition From Versailles to Amiens - Masterpieces from the Sun King's Bedroom. Usually exhibited more than 10 m from the ground, these masterpieces, which testify to the king's taste for Caravaggio paintings, are exceptionally visible up close! The program is enhanced by lectures and musical encounters. In exchange, the Musée de Picardie has lent the 9 paintings of the Exotic Hunts to the Château de Versailles for the exhibition Louis XV, Tastes and Passions of a King. They are accompanied by two monumental animal scenes painted by Jean-Jacques Bachelier for the Château de Choisy. More information on the website of Amiens Métropole.
