Noyon's cathedral and episcopal quarter are one of the town's major attractions.

The cathedral and the episcopal quarter constitute one of the major centers of interest in Noyon: it is one of the most complete and best preserved in northern France. It is composed of five buildings: the refectory with an attic and a vast rib-vaulted cellar, the chapter house (the current sacristy), the officiality (the prison and the courtroom), the treasury building and the exceptional Chapter Library, built in 1506 and today one of the oldest timber-framed libraries in Europe!
