EPISCOPAL DISTRICT
Noyon's cathedral and episcopal quarter are two of the town's major attractions.
Noyon's cathedral and bishop's quarters are one of the most complete and well-preserved heritage treasures in northern France. This remarkable site comprises five buildings: a refectory with an attic and a vast rib-vaulted cellar, the chapter house, the officiality, which includes the prison and the courtroom, the Treasury building and the Chapter Library. The latter, built in 1506, is one of the oldest libraries in Europe and a true architectural gem.
