PARC JEAN-JACQUES ROUSSEAU
The park is home to a variety of environments, rare and typical flora and fauna, and is a great place to visit for the writers' trail
Extending over 62 ha, the park was classified as a "Sensitive Natural Area" in 2019, as it is home to numerous environments (woodland, river, etc.), typical and sometimes rare flora and wild fauna. Today's park represents only part of the original park: the western sector, known as "le Désert", belongs to the Institut de France, and the northern sector to the estate of the hotel established at Château d'Ermenonville. The "sentier des écrivains" (writers' trail) crosses this park, and entrance costs €5.
