Church of Labourdin style, located near the Nive and surrounded by its cemetery with discoidal steles in Louhossoa
Notre-Dame de L'Assomption church in Louhossoa dates back to the 17th century. Built in the Labourdin style near the river Nive, it is surrounded by a cemetery with discoidal steles. A powerful bell tower-porch was added in 1670, and the interior features three tiers of galleries and an altarpiece dating from the 1700s. In 2014, it was listed as a Monument Historique. A typical configuration for village churches between the provinces of Labourd and Basse-Navarre.
